Bridge Laws

 

 

In accordance with the resolutions of the ABF & NZCBA Laws Commission.

Please be advised that the new laws are to come into effect in Australia and New Zealand on 1st June 2008.

The only exception will be for an event that commences a day or two earlier and continues on through 1st June without any break of days. ie a congress pairs starting on the 31st May, finishing on 1st June will play under the old laws.

The ABF has ruled to assign its power to regulate events run within the state other than ABF events. This is in accordance with Law 80 of the new laws and will be in force for a period of 5 years.
